What we are looking for

 

Reporting to and working closely with the CEO as well as the R&D teams at Tropic, we are seeking an energetic Business Development Manager who will build key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, negotiate and close business deals and maintain extensive knowledge of current market conditions.

 

As a business development manager, you will identify new business opportunities in order to generate revenue and help the business grow. As an eager, self-motivated and hungry sales professional, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining close relationships with a number of key clients globally ranging from government departments, farmers, supermarket chains etc. as well as targeting new prospects.   

 

Key Responsibilities/ Tasks:

  • Ideally, you will have a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant business development or strategy experience in the sector.
  • Ability to work alongside internal research teams to align with Tropic Biosciences‘ products with the industry needs.
  • Develop robust business models to support the effective commercialization of advanced biotechnology products in traditional agricultural industries.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to easily form productive relationships.
  • Highly motivated, independent and target driven.
  • Varied travel schedule, estimated at 20-40% of time.

Additional information:

  • Job Location – UK, with physical presence in either the Norwich office, Cambridge or London.
  • Time Requirement - Full time position.
